God is for you.
He’s the one standing behind you saying “Get ready, get set, go!” He’s the wind beneath your wings. He’s the one cheering you on, saying “You can do it! I know you can!” “I’m with you!” “I’m proud of you!”
He’s the one who created you to soar with wings like eagles. He’s the one who put the dreams in your heart. He’s the one who is lifting your head up, the one who breathes hope and life into your lungs. He’s the one strengthening you with His joy. He’s the one telling you not to grow discouraged, not to give up.
The world will put you down, the world will doubt you, they will criticize and demean you. They will scoff, and in their worldly wisdom discount you as a nobody. They will persecute you and condemn you. They will ignore and reject you. But not your Father. No, He is always welcoming you with open arms. He is for you. He is counting on you to change the world for His glory, for His name’s sake. He’s put that song inside of you, that book, that blog, that movie, that art piece, that message. He’s raising you up, He’s training you, He’s equipping you to do all that He’s created you to do. And oh there’s so much more than you think. Better than you could ask or imagine. Better than you could dream. He told you to dream big and you did and yet He dreamed even bigger, cause that’s just who He is. The possibilities are endless.
While the world wants to put limits on you, don’t be limited, because our God is big enough. He’s big enough to bring you through to fulfill the destiny you were designed to fulfill.
He’s placed those gifts and talents inside of you and he’s sharpened them over time. So get ready to fly, get ready to soar. “Don’t despise the day of small beginnings, for God rejoices to see the work begin.” (Zecheriah 4:10) You have to start somewhere. Just one small step forward and then another and then another and before you know it, you’ll look back and be in awe and wonder at how far you’ve come.
No, the journey won’t be easy. There will be twists and turns. There will be road-blocks and barriers you will have to overcome. There will be old mindsets that need to be left behind. There will be hindrances you have to throw off and peoples’ opinions you need to disregard. But keep your eyes straight ahead, fixed on Him, the author and finisher of your faith. Don’t you see the beautiful story He’s writing? How he loves to see you running the race with perseverance, not easily deterred, not thrown off-track but running with determination. That fire in your belly, that stubborn resolve to be all they said you couldn’t be, to do all they doubted you could do. That’s what you were created for. That’s what you are destined for. And He is with you, He is for you.
